Aboard the Surf Rider we love to fish with live bait! Surf Rider sports lots of live bait well capacity specifically designed to carry several types of live bait simultaneously. This allows us to fish for several species all in the same day. It also allows us to cast several different types of bait to that finicky fish of your dreams.

Light tackle is our specialty. With spinning tackle ranging from 6 lb. test to 20 lb. test, we can usually handle most any type of sport fish we encounter. Don’t despair we still have the "monster " gear for the extra big ones if we need it.

Some clients like to fly fish. We encourage this, however, in order to do this properly we require you to charter the entire boat on your own, with no more than three persons in your party. You must bring your own fly rod and related equipment. We also require you to have rudimentary knowledge of the workings of your equipment. If you are a fly fisherman you know why these rules are so rigid, if not, try fly fishing you’ll understand

34' Custom Sportfisherman

	Captain Rick Marchetti has 30 years of experience and is a native Floridian. Originally from South Florida and the Florida Keys. It was there that he learned many of the "little things" that makes him a better fisherman today. He began fishing the bridges in the upper and middle keys. The fishing down south is quite a bit different than it is in the Brevard County area. Rick worked on Head Boats and then moved on to Sports Fishing.

	Captain Marchetti chose this location because of it's proximity to Sebastian Inlet. Sebastian Inlet is located just one mile from the dock. From the inlet to the prime trolling areas is only 4 or 5 miles. This gets you out to the fish a lot quicker than most other locations. It is also handy to be close to the inlet in case of weather changes. One bad squall may not ruin the day as there is often time to head back out. The area outside of Sebastian Inlet provides some of the best fishing on the coast of Florida. In this area the Dolphin, Kingfish and the Cobia are not just passing guests, they are permanent residents. This allow us to pattern the fish so you can catch more!! Over the years Rick has found that working with other fishermen can be beneficial to everyone. His numerous contacts can always be found to help out in a pinch. Having learned to handle a boat and find fish with such limits makes Captain Rick even better with the current electronics that he has available to him. So you get a Captain that has plenty of experience, other captains to back him up and one heck of a fisherman!!
